Yesterday, Wednesday Feb 17 saw the inaugural event of the Lean Startup for Enterprise meetup. The event was opened by Alex Osterwalder, author of the bestselling books, ‘Business Model Generation’ and ‘Value Proposition Design’.
This was followed by Raomal Perera with an introduction to Value Proposition Design (VP). Following on from the tone set by Alex, this session was aimed at helping the attendees understand the patterns of great value propositions, get closer to customers, and avoid wasting time with ideas that won’t work.
“There is only one judge, jury and executioner: The Market”
We covered the simple but comprehensive process of designing and testing value propositions, taking the guesswork out of creating products and services that perfectly match customers’ needs and desires. The Value Proposition Canvas is a practical tool to design, test, create, and manage products and services customers actually want.
“Excellent meetup! Raomal and BOI Thank You!”Sheila
Lastly, we explored how Value Proposition Design complements and perfectly integrates with the Business Model Canvas from Business Model Generation, a tool embraced by startups and large corporations such as MasterCard, 3M, Coca Cola, GE, Fujitsu, LEGO, Colgate–Palmolive, and many more.
“Excellent start to what looks like a promising series of meetups”Stephen R.
It was a fantastic start to our Meetup series, with engaging dialogue, fascinating insights and some great business concepts. Looking forward to our next session!
